Nature is in the spotlight of today's news and is a major focus of modern society. Far from being a transitory phenomenon, many of us are discovering or rediscovering it. Even so, many people utilize it with varying degrees of abuse, understanding and above all respect. For Sothys and since the beginning, nature is not an instrument, it is a "raison d’être", a reason for being, a philosophy, a genuine love story. This story is that of Sothys' founder, Bernard Mas, in Auriac in the Corrèze region in the heart of France. The story logically gave rise to an ethical and environmental mentality that for years has been a guiding light for the Sothys Group.
The cornerstone of the edifice, Jardins Sothys™, Sothys' Gardens, a source of inspiration of the Beauty Garden® line by Sothys, were created in 2006. A declaration of Sothys' commitment to nature and sustainable development, this tourist complex is also contributing to the local economy. The installation is an initiation to the totally preserved site in Auriac, in the Haute Corrèze region, so important to its founder.

This exceptional site includes a botanical garden, a restaurant and a boutique.

Le jardin

The botanical garden has a dual mission:
|
|
|
> Allow visitors to discover the local biotope and show the value of plants of the Limousin region flora.
> Obtain the values of nature via basic plant research in order to prepare new cosmetic active substances.
Over a total surface of 3.7 hectares or more than 9 acres, it is composed of several gardens: the wet garden, the garden of constellations, the Japanese garden, the rose garden and the water drop garden. The forest (more than 26 hectares/65 acres of heath and woodlands) is laid out with 3.5 km of walking trails and is an invitation to bucolic strolls.

The restaurant

With its dining room and patio, it proposes an original gastronomic menu. It has received excellent reviews in the «Guide du Routard» (tourist and gastronomic guide).

The boutique
|
|
|
The boutique features local handicrafts and regional literature and also sells cosmetic products of the Sothys Group (Sothys, Simone Mahler, Bernard Cassière).
A genuine showcase of the Sothys International Group, a reflection of its image nd authenticity, the Jardins Sothys™ in Auriac is the concrete demonstration of Management's commitment in our region, a region that will benefit from being known for both the richness of its extraordinary resources (culinary and literary art, exceptional nature, variety of its flora and fauna) and its preserved and totally virgin character. This endowment by nature has resulted in its being included in the European Ecological Heritage of the Natura 2000 project.
